Firefox Fusion:not worth the money

It has been close to 3 months that I bought my bike and I am already seeing problems galore.

Rim damaged

Pedal loosens up duirng long rides

With just around 400 km of biking and Rs 5700 worth investment, the problems I see with this bike doesn’t seem to settle the equation. Also I have been constanly hitting the firefox service center here in jayangar ,Bangalore for some trouble or other with the bike.Firefoz advertises it as an All terrain bike. Wht the heck? Now i wonder if its better to buy 2 heroes inplace of one all-hype-no-performance Firefox fusion.Adding to this the service center says they don’t provide warranty for these damaged parts.DAMN…

  1. Gitu,
Having realised that the baby is not worth 6k,i hope u will restrain urself from recommendiung it to others.

  2. @Dev:Will do

  3. Yes, its true. Having done some 30 kms, the pedal got loosened in my firefox bike. What added to the agony was, when I went to the shop(jayanagar) to fix the pedal, they did not have proper tools. Its as same as any other bike that is available for 2-3K.

  4. What!!!!!!!!!This guy did not have proper tools????thats news..That too with this fellow showing off these fancy tool kits to the customer of all ages who slip in to his shop,it keeps me wondering about the quality of the products he sells..better to stick to bots when it comes to buying an all terrain bike..

  5. What the hell guys? If the bolt is loose, you go to a freaking service center??? Advice: Ditch the cycle, go walking. If you can’t even tighten a bolt on your own don’t crib about the cycle.

And to the guy with the damaged rim, any cycle will get damaged if you treat it like shit. All terrain doesn’t mean it can withstand extreme treatment. Probably good reason why a true all terrain is priced above 26000 rupees while this one is cheaper than the hero Octane.

They’re a good set of bikes. But if you decide to use a screwdriver to chop a tree, don’t complain that it doesn’t do its job.

  6. Yes… what you said is correct. No wonder why a true all terrain bike is priced above 26000.

But a bike sold as an ATB(imported) for about 7K, should at least be good enough on Indian tar roads. What can you say if every 40 -50 km you have to go to the service station to fix something.

And about tightening the bolt, as you said anyone can do on his own. Yes..that’s true. But one will never have all the tools. What can you say if even at the service station they don’t have the appropriate tools for fixing things.

If you say them as good bikes… then I think you have not driven them, but only you have seen them at the Bike store inside the glass.

Yes …a screwdriver should at least be able to adjust a screw….!!!
